Description
A ticketing and travel officer ensures that the necessary travel requirements of the company are duly met. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, updating and designing travel policies and procedures, driving compliance with relevant regulations and ensuring optimal customer service in attending to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Ticketing:
- Process and manage local and international airlines, and other transportation reservations.
- Ensure accuracy in ticket issuance, including passenger details, travel dates, and destinations.
- Stay updated on fare structures, local authorities, travel regulations, and industry trends.
Travel Logistics:
- Coordinate all aspects of travel logistics, including accommodations, transportation, and itinerary planning.
- Collaborate with hotels, airlines, and other service providers to secure the best rates and services.
- Handle changes or cancellations in travel plans, resolving issues promptly.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Assist clients with visa applications, travel insurance, and other related documentation.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of travel arrangements, expenses, and client information.
- Prepare and present reports on travel expenditure and trends as needed.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant travel regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Stay informed about visa requirements, health advisories, and other travel-related regulations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, business, or a related field.
- Must have 3-5 years experience in ticketing, travel coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of travel industry trends and regulations.
