Senior Associate – Finance Business Partner
Description

The Senior Associate - Finance Business Partner will be responsible for accurate
accounting of all financial transactions and timely preparation of business unit reports and month-end close activities across various subsidiaries while serving as a finance liaison to the business based on assigned subsidiaries and vertical.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure effective financial planning and control for all Enugu subsidiaries.
  •  Ensure timely and accurate billing and posting of journal entries.
  • Review and analysis of all assigned subsidiaries general ledger.
  • Develop and maintain reports and files on billing and payment processing.
  •  Serve as an escalation point for issues flagged on all assigned subsidiaries.
  •  Ensure timely collection from customers before the end of the receivable days.
  • Manage commercial finance to support business growth and profitability.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor invoicing and payment processing.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor accounts.
  • Analyse business unit performance to identify areas for improvement and drive results.
  • Serve as a liaison for regional finance to ensure alignment and coordination across locations.
  •  Good working knowledge and understanding of basic accounting
  •  Experience in preparing accurate and thorough financial reports and related schedules in line with established deadlines.
  • Experience with general ledger management and the month-end/year end close process and activities.
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptive.
  • Proficiency in the use of accounting packages (e.g., ERPNext, SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, Oddo etc.).
  •  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  •  Good oral and written communication skills.
  •  Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
  • Experience with a Consulting industry is an added advantage.
  • Accuracy of journal entries.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of management reports, financial statements and analyses.
  • Timely completion of month-end activities.
  • Compliance with relevant statutory financial requirements.
  •  Number of audit exceptions/ adjustments
Qualifications
  •  A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  •  Minimum eight (8) years' experience in accounting, financial analysis or similar role preferably any of the industries mentioned.
  • Relevant professional certifications and membership (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or any other relevant professional body).
  • principles; advanced knowledge of IFRS, finance best practices, financial reporting and analysis.
